Rescuers in Texas, the United States, are racing against time to find over 20 girls who went missing from a riverside summer camp after torrential rains caused devastating flooding in the state.

According to Kerr County Sheriff, Larry Leitha, "the death toll stands at 24," with rescue teams working tirelessly to locate stranded residents in the south-central Texas region. Texas Lieutenant Governor, Dan Patrick, confirmed that some of the victims were children.
